How to Treat Tourette’s and Tic Disorders
Children and teens are rarely brought in for psychological treatment for tic disorders or Tourette’s Disorder. However, children with tics are usually suffering from anxiety or embarrassment that displaying the tics in front of others brings. Treatment of tic disorders often can reduce the frequency of the tics as well as help children and their family understand the tics and how to cope with them in their daily lives.
